Happily have remained moored in the Marina at Llangollen . Have done the tourist thing today after a leisurely start that began with bacon & eggs cooked by the captain. We both went on the steam train ( separately) it was very pretty following the river up the valley. Wandered the town afterwards, again very busy because of holiday. We are going to this old pub tonight for a meal called The Corn Mill, right on the waters edge of course. It was booked out last night when we tried.
The Marina.
The last Stop - before turn around.
The Corn Mill.
This morning after M & L left, we were about to shut up the boat when we got rammed again by a boatload who were trying to reverse into a mooring ( long & narrow ) when the wind caught their stern and whipped it around on us. So we had a session trying to push them off. All the while they were f..k this and laughing hysterically in the broadest Liverpool accent we have ever heard. Not as if we didn't have some insight into classic boating predicaments.! So we were very patient.
Of course M says hello as usual they really enjoyed the steam train trip also.
Following the River Dee on the steam train.
Back tomorrow.
Cheers from all
