Immediately upon starting the paddle we encountered masses of jellyfish
Catching up to the rest of the group who were heading off down toward the mouth
We had a quick confab and decided to head up the lake first and leave, possibly the best to last. We encountered some bird life along the shore, but not nearly as much as we had hoped for.
Heading up the lake
Burrawang Palms

A couple of times during the paddle, the forecast breeze popped up, but each time died away quickly.
At 10.30 we stopped for morning tea
At 10.55am we were paddling once more. Only a short distance from where we stopped for tea we rounded a sandy little point
To find this delightful cove. It would make a great camping spot :)
Following the shoreline we poddled up the lake
And up we go
Is that another good campsite?
L disappearing up a little arm of the creek
We continued on up the creek, around another couple of bends before calling it quits and before reaching the end.
We paddled back down to the mouth of the creek, where after some deliberation, and the rest of us ignoring L's suggestions, we settled on this spot for lunch at 11.55am
Back on the water at 1.05pm
We wait for El Capitano to tell us which way to go
The mouth of Benandarah Creek looks enticing, but not for today
Having just passed where we launched we head down to the mouth
Which is closed
Having spent 20 mins or so down on the beach, we paddled slowly back up the lake
To finish our paddle at 3.30pm.
Here is a Vid from R and her magic phone
S&V having succumbed to persistent persuasion on the drive back, it was agreed to end a good days paddle with an early dinner at the Pub.
