Tuesday 12/5 Welton Haven to Braunston Tunnel Eastern portal

I came down with Lawrence's lurgie yesterday afternoon as I worked us through the Watford Locks. Hopefully it will be gone in a couple of days. Woke to rain and cold this morning; it was a four layer morning. We left our overnight mooring
And headed for Norton Junction. I wasn't far off in last nights estimate of how far we had come from Leicester.
We reached Norton Junction
Round this cottage we went

And under the bridge at the bottom of the cottage's garden
Past some fab farmland
Past a boat with an unusual cargo
Past some swans
Past some ducklings
And a curious cow
Past an old working boat and bitty on their wat to Crick for the boat show (the one Lawrence won't let us near).
The rear boat or butty is unpowered and towed by the front boat.

And through a wooded cutting to the Braunston Tunnel portal.
The sun came out and it might turn into a beautiful day. The trees gain more leaf cover each day
