We were to be five for this paddle. However, R received a txt msg from K&A to start without them as they would be late because they were one their way to Bega to look at a 2nd hand single Hobie kayak for K.
Once again the the paddle was timed with the tide, so R, L and I started out paddle in the early afternoon. Again we had a glorious day and after the recent rain the cleared country through which we mainly paddled (and had expected to be rather uninspiring) was at its best.
Not knowing how far K&A would be behind us we didn't paddle as far up Nairia Creek as we would have liked and after a welcome stop
for some stretching and sustenance we reluctantly headed back down stream.
On the way back down we found the entrance to Black Lagoon which we had missed on the way upstream. Not wanting to miss K&A we only poked our noses in - enough to know we wanted to explore the lagoon another day.
Halfway down the straight we met up with K&A - K as pleased as Punch with her latest acquisition; in fantastic condition and a bargain to boot and the icing on the cake, a lovely cheery yellow.
With R leading the way we took a slightly different and very attractive route back to the main lake where we faced rather a choppy paddle back to Fairhaven Point.
K's lovely new purchase
Drinking it all in
Back at our start point, G was waiting to collect R and courtesy of K&A we munched on Cardomon rolls as we told G about our paddle.
